Train to Gain: £1,000 for Leadership and Management
Under the new Train to Gain flexibilities small to medium sized organisations can now access up £1000 to support your organisation's leadership and management programme. The first £500 does not require any contribution but the subsequent £500 would need to be match funded by your organisation. You can use this funding for a variety of purposes including training and consultancy for key members of the management team. To be eligible you cannot have received this funding before and you need a minimum of 5 full time staff (or part time equivalet).

Awards for All
The Big Lottery fund is now seeking applications from London groups who aim to ensure that, ‘People have better chances in life, with better access to training and development to improve their life skills'. Futurebuilders - Small Organisations Tender Fund
This programme offers grants to small third sector organisations (turnover less than £250,000) to help with tendering for specific public sector contracts. Grants can be up to 10% of the contract in view, with a maximum investment of £15,000. There is a limited pot of £220,000 for this fund.
Grants can be used for legal costs, advice from procurement specialists, financial expertise, bidding staff costs or backfill and related items. The Future Jobs Fund
The Future Jobs Fund is a fund of around £1 billion to support the creation of jobs for long term unemployed young people and others who face significant disadvantage in the labour market. The fund will ensure that those who have been looking for a jobs for over a year will get the offer of a job or training lasting at least six months. It is expected that bids will be from mainly larger organisations. For further information visit the Department of Work and Pensions website.
